The new FordLiive service from the brand with the blue oval will make life easier for owners of light commercial vehicles, but also for dealers, by monitoring the diagnosis of the vehicle in real time.
Ford announces the arrival of a new connected service in France and Europe, which is not, this time, intended for individuals wishing to have music, advice or navigation. But rather to light commercial vehicle professionals and fleet managers. FordLiive is indeed a "connected uptime optimization system".
In concrete terms, it is a vehicle value monitoring system: lubrication, condition of certain components, monitoring of mileage and operations to be carried out, the objective is to allow owners to be notified in real time during maintenance operations and future revisions, depending on the state of the mechanics and the type of use. If the maintenance programs already exist and allow you to know when you have to go to the dealership, this is a much finer device in its analysis.
"Linking Ford commercial vehicle customers, the network of Transit Centers and the manufacturer itself, the system uses real-time vehicle data² to individually optimize the productivity of each vehicle in a customer's fleet. Approximately 500,000 Ford Connected Commercial Vehicles are already on the roads of Europe, with more than one million expected by mid-2022.
By analyzing vehicle data in real time, FORDLiive provides customers with specific vehicle maintenance information. Small businesses with up to five vehicles receive notifications through the FordPass Pro app, while managers of larger fleets are kept informed by a vehicle status dashboard in a dedicated Ford version Telematics".
On the dealer side, the advantage will be to be able to order the necessary parts in anticipation of future maintenance on the utilities. All this device would reduce the downtime of light commercial vehicles by 60% in Europe according to Ford, which will offer this service free of charge later this year.
