Cupra has just published a short video announcing the arrival of the Born, its first electric sports car. The design is ultimately very close or almost similar to that of the El Born concept.
Cupra gives you an appointment on May 25 to discover its first electric sports car, the Born. A notion of sportsmanship probably very relative given the fact that the car is based on the MEB platform, not really designed to be performance-oriented. We also saw this again recently with a relatively timid Volkswagen ID.4 GTX.
While waiting for technical information, Cupra unveils a teaser video in which Cupra's design boss, Jorge Diez, stages himself to illustrate certain stylistic details. It will indeed take out the magnifying glass to find the differences with the El Born concept, as the two cars are close.

The big unknown therefore remains the technical data sheet. The larger battery in the ID.3 range will likely be used, but unlike the ID.4 GTX, the Born could still be powered. We still expect a small increase in power to benefit from a bit of exclusivity compared to an ID.3 with the same base.
