Concessions will again be able to welcome the public freely from mid-May.
The deconfinement schedule is finally known. Via an interview given to the regional daily press, Emmanuel Macron unveiled a schedule in four main stages. The first will begin on Monday May 3, with the end of daytime traffic restrictions. Attention, the curfew will always be in place, from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m.
With the second stage, on Wednesday May 19, all businesses will be able to reopen. It is therefore on this date that car dealerships will again be able to welcome the public freely. There will be gauges to respect, but these are rarely reached in showrooms!
Currently, the concessions are not completely closed. To avoid a new collapse in order intake, as had been the case in November, the government had let go of the ballast and allowed sales by appointment. So you can go to a dealership these days, but having booked your visit beforehand! A measure that limits breakage, but remains a barrier for buyers. Certainly, many of them have delayed their purchase project while waiting for deconfinement.
Sellers are now hoping that the full reopening will quickly boost sales. They will have a solid commercial argument to attract attention and attract people: the reduction of ecological bonuses on July 1! If you want to take advantage of the best help on electric and rechargeable hybrids, you will have to order quickly.
> In his interview, the Head of State however specified that health “emergency brakes” will be activated in the cities and departments where the virus would still circulate too much.
