Successful mission for the government. Thanks to purchasing aid, sales of electric vehicles have taken off.In 2020, the 100 % electric reached 6 % market share. There should be a million vehicles connected to our roads in 2022.Problem: the network of charging stations is not suitable.
The state is aware of this and multiplies the procedures to accelerate the deployment of a network. As part of the recovery plan, he notably set as a goal of having 100,000 terminals by the end of the year, a figure however deemed too optimistic by some.An envelope of 100 million euros will be used to allocate aid.
One of the priority axes is the implementation of a network on the main axes to allow motorists to carry out long distances with fast charging points. This must help French people convert to electric by overcoming fears about autonomy that limits their movements.
Le réseau prévu sur les autoroutesFor this, the State will oblige the highway dealers to install charging stations on service areas (that is to say those where there is already a petrol station).A decree published on February 14 sets the rules, with a date to be observed: be ready before January 1, 2023.The government also undertakes to deploy terminals on the national network not conceded within the same period.
The station must include at least four fast charging points "with a target heart based on the installations allowing recharge in less than 20 minutes (150 kW terminal)".The grant rate for the installation ranges from 10 to 40 %, the 40 % being granted for small stations on areas deemed less profitable.A 10 % bonus is granted for the first 150 files.A good part of the connection costs is also covered within the framework of the mobility law.
