Electric vehicle drivers await a significant commitment from companies in the development of this new mobility. This involves the electrification of vehicle fleets but also by strengthening the number of charging stations at their workplace, tells us this morning a study commissioned by the supplier Evbox.
While the electric car market has just passed the historic CAP of 100,000 sales in 2020 in France, the charging stations, they do not follow this growth. At the start of 2021, 45,000 recharging points are (more or less) in service on our territory, according to the Delta-EE firm. The objective of the 100,000 units according to the end of the year, set by the government at the end of 2020, risks not being fulfilled.
This feeling of not being followed, electric vehicle drivers also feel it in the professional environment.A study carried out by IPSOS in six European countries with 3,600 citizens (including 600 electric vehicle drivers) reveals that two out of three users would like companies to install more charging stations at their workplace.According to the study, they are almost half (47%) to recharge their vehicle within their company when possible."Offering its employees to drive by electric vehicle is accompanied by the installation of charging stations in the workplace and possibly at home. This meets a real need and appears to be an additional attractiveness criterion for businesses, "explains the supplier, owned by the French group Engie.
véhicule de fonction électrique : un nouveau critèreAccording to the same study, we learn that 1 in 4 French people would like to work for a company that offers electric vehicles. However, only 16 % work in a company where the choice of opting for an electric service vehicle has been given to them.A figure located below the European average of 20 %.This study confirms an attraction of employees for electric or service electric vehicles and a need for a larger number of business charging stations and on the road.
As a reminder, professionals and communities have had up to € 9,000 for the installation of a fast charger (50 kW) since 2 November 2020..
