Genesis is already unveiling the G70 Shooting Brake, a more practical version of the sedan that we will soon have in Europe.
Genesis hits hard from the start. Unlike other high-end (re)born brands such as DS or Alfa Romeo, the Korean manufacturer has understood that it needed a break in the range to attract German customers, in particular. And Genesis did not wait very long to unveil this G70 Shooting Brake, which will be in the catalog alongside the GV70 sedan and SUV.
Unlike the G80, which will be electric, this 70 range should rely on the combustion engine. The Hyundai group's 3.3 biturbo V6 is anything but confirmed in a European market chasing CO2. The four-cylinder 2.0 turbo with just over 200 hp seems to be the ideal candidate for a car that will be rear-wheel drive or four-wheel drive.
Lower than a 3 Series Touring, this G70 is also a bit short, at 4.68 meters. Unfortunately, Genesis does not specify the trunk volume, which will obviously be more generous than on the sedan, where it tops out at a very light 330 liters.
One thing is certain, the interior presentation, if it is up to scratch in terms of assemblies and materials, could well seduce customers who would like to find physical controls and avoid all touch.
