The presentation of the hydrogen sedan from the small French manufacturer Hopium should take place in mid-2021. Here are images of the car's platform, which promises 500 hp and 1000 km of range on a full tank. h2>
Hydrogen is not the priority of the automotive industry at the moment, and for a whole host of reasons: complex and non-existent distribution network, cost of the fuel cell, very limited habitability (because of the reservoirs). But these problems are circumvented for a small brand such as Hopium, founded, let us remember, by a former French endurance pilot who put himself at the head of a daring project of hydrogen cars built in France.

— hopiumofficial (@hopiumofficial) January 21, 2021Under the start-up HMC (Hydrogen Motive Company), Hopium aims to offer a large, powerful and high-end sedan to a rather affluent clientele. The choice of hydrogen is well suited to large vehicles due to the volume of these tanks, three in number on the Machina. A small one at the rear, and two large ones placed longitudinally, where the transmission tunnel is normally located on a thermal vehicle. The fuel cell is placed at the front.
Hopium, which works with the young designer Félix Godard, who has already worked for Tesla and Porsche (Mission E), announces a full tank in 3 minutes and a maximum speed of 230 km/h. What will the price be? Where will the car be produced, and in what quantity? The answer, probably, by this summer.
