The German International Motor Show is now held in Munich. For the first Bavarian edition, in addition to Volkswagen, Audi and Porsche, three other major brands confirm their presence.
Has it become corny to come to a show just to unveil cars? The new Frankfurt Motor Show, which is no longer held in Frankfurt but in Munich, is changing. The IAA 2021 will indeed be like the Paris show and will focus on transport as a whole, and not just on the new car model. Mobility in all its forms which will be expressed in Bavaria at the start of the school year has already convinced large groups.
If Volkswagen has decided to restrict the number of brands to diversify its exhibitions, you can also count on the presence of Ford, Groupe Renault and Hyundai. These three giants have confirmed their move to the first and only major European motor show this year, as Geneva tries to find a way out of its paternity problem.
"The new edition of the IAA is no longer just about showing what new and beautiful cars you are launching, but what ideas we have for sustainable mobility in the future. That's why we come to Munich," commented Ford.
The particularity of this 2021 edition of the IAA will be the growing presence of Chinese brands: Nio and SAIC, in particular, will be there.
