The EQS electric sedan will receive the hyperscreen MBUX, a screen that makes the whole dashboard width!
As a symbol of the evolution of the automotive market, the technological flagship at Mercedes will no longer be the S class, but the EQS, a large electric sedan which will be revealed during 2021.This model will thus be the first endowed with the hyperscreen Mbux.
This equipment, which is 1.41 meters wide, incorporates several elements which are one visually: instrumentation, the digital central console and a screen facing the passenger. It also visually encompasses the side aerators, who keep a shape of turbine very popular with Mercedes designers.
The central screen and that of the passenger adopt OLED technology, which brings better contrasts. The central screen incorporates twelve actuators which allow a return of haptic information during operation: if the finger touches certain points at this location, they trigger a tangible vibration in the cover plate.
The screen facing the passenger can be personalized according to seven profiles. The entertainment functions are however available during the trip "within the framework of legal regulations specific to each country".In addition, when the seat is unoccupied, this screen becomes a decorative banner, with animated stars.
If the hyperscreen is beautiful, it is also intelligent. He displays the right functions at the right time. For this, Mercedes has analyzed the use of the MBUX system since its appearance in 2018.Artificial intelligence will also highlight functions by learning driver's habits.Mercedes gives examples:
The EQS will be the first model of Mercedes thought only for electricity, with a unprecedented dedicated technical base. The brand promises a range of 700 km.
