Model after model, the Mercedes S-Class introduces revolutionary equipment that seems out of reach but often ends up, several years later, being implemented as standard on the most basic cars. A runoff theory that works and whose new source we will discover tomorrow.
A new generation of Mercedes S-Class is always an event. Admittedly, a car costing more than €100,000 interests only a tiny part of the French population, but this one is special: indeed, at each of its renewals, we discover equipment never seen before, whether in the field multimedia or safety, and which in a few years will equip the vehicle of Mr. Everyman, such as electronic ABS or ESP. What does the future hold for us through this new cuvée?

That's what we're finding out. Reconfinement, not reconfinement? Until the last moment, we weren't sure that the Mercedes S-Class tests would be maintained, but providence finally smiled on the brand with the star and today we are in Provence to test its new flagship.
First impressions
The Mercedes S-Class is a time travel car. But not in the past, in the future. And obviously, in a not so distant time, driving your car yourself will be secondary thanks to or because of the development of autonomous driving systems. Suddenly, the impressions of driving behind the wheel of this new generation of the spearhead of the brand with the star are quite secondary, even if it adopts (optional) rear wheel steering with spectacular efficiency as it offers maneuverability worthy of a compact with a machine approaching 5.30 m and that we will come back to at length in our final test.
No, where this S-Class is particularly appreciated, especially in the Limousine version (and heavily optioned) of our test model, is in the back, where we have a multimedia system incredibly developed and seats offering a multitude of adjustments and massages. Yes, the best seat in this Mercedes is not behind the wheel.
