Mini: light restyling for John Cooper Works

All that was missing was mini unveiling the light restyling of the most powerful in the range, the John Cooper Works.

Mini brings the final touch to its Cooper range with the restyling of the John Cooper Works version. The most powerful of the small English women, outside GP, which adopts the new front face already seen on the update unveiled earlier in the year. Round LED lights are still the trademark, but the shape of the grille changes: hexagonal in shape, its contour is accentuated and plunges down to the bottom of the shield. Unlike some sportsmen, here the openings in the bumper are real and are used to drive the air flow.

Under the hood, there is no change: the 231hp and 320 nm turbo 2.0 cylinders are still in use, combined with the choice of a six-speed manual gearbox or the eight-speed Steptronic automatic gearbox, which saves two tenths in the 0 to 100: 6.1 seconds, compared to 6.3 in the mechanical gearbox.

The restyling provides standard stainless steel sports exhaust and four piston Brembo brakes with ventilated discs. As a standard, the John Cooper Works is mounted on 17 "rims, but 18" models are optional. We should also mention the presence of the piloted suspension (optional), which was revisited for the occasion.

Inside, we now find an 8.8 inch central screen surrounded by black piano, and displaying a new multimedia environment, including the appearance of widgets.
