The German authorities have not yet released Porsche, which could be forced to recall thousands of vehicles in circulation for an alleged fraud in the homologation on certain models.
Funny announcement last year than that of Porsche. Usually, it is the authorities who investigate and sometimes push the builders to act. The German brand has taken the opposite route by detecting anomalies in the approvals of certain vehicles after internal audits. Porsche had then decided to warn the German public authorities in order to cooperate.
The rest of this case is taking place at this very moment. The German Federal Automobile Agency (KBA) has indeed opened a formal hearing against Porsche. Information confirmed yesterday by Porsche and the KBA, even if the manufacturer does not wish to give further information for the moment. The KBA has been investigating supposedly false fuel consumption data for Porsche vehicles for several months now.
According to the manufacturer, less than one percent of the brand's total fleet on the road would be affected. Even if the procedure is just beginning, according to Business Insider, Porsche could be forced to recall thousands of vehicles if the action of the KBA were to be completed.
