The range of Captur engines is constantly evolving. Since the end of 2020, there has been the pure and simple disappearance of the diesel, the launch of a new TCe of 140 hp, with micro-hybridization, and the arrival of the simple hybrid E-Tech of 145 hp. Here is more news for Renault's urban SUV!
This time, the Captur beefs up its offer by adopting a 160 hp 1.3 TCe block, also arrived under the hood of the Arkana, technically derived from the Captur. The maximum torque is 270 Nm, 10 Nm more than the 140 hp.
This engine is equipped with a 12V micro-hydridation, with an alternator-starter and a small battery. There is also a "Sailing Stop" function, a freewheeling function during deceleration phases, enough to save a few grams of CO2. It works between 30 and 140 km/h and can be deactivated via the Multi-Sense.
This 160 hp Captur TCe is associated with an EDC dual-clutch gearbox with 7 gears. It is billed at €29,300 with the Intens finish. In RS Line, it's 31,500 € and in top of the range Initiale Paris it's 32,900 €. CO2 emissions are 133 or 134 g/km, which gives a penalty of 50 or 75 €.
