Dutch oil company Shell is opening its first electric "hub" in France. A station of fast charging stations which was inaugurated in Paris.
Even if the majority of their turnover still comes from gas and oil, the giants of the sector are interested in new energies. This is the case of Total, which has already opened charging stations in France, but also of Shell. The Dutch oil company is inaugurating its first electric mobility hub in Paris.
In the Lobau car park, Shell's first eight electric charging stations in France will be used mainly for professionals and VTCs/Taxis. However, these terminals remain of measured power: from 22 to 50 kW. This is little compared to what specialists and certain manufacturers do, but it is still more than the terminals of Total, limited to 24 kW direct current.
It should however be remembered that Shell, which is a partner of NewMotion in these "semi-fast" terminals, is also one of the members of the Ionity project for ultra-fast terminals. The first inaugurations of Ionity terminals by Shell took place in 2018.
