Tesla has just passed the milestone of 800 Supercharger terminals in France, spread over 90 stations. An average of 10 terminals per station more or less stable in Europe, where there are now 6,000 charging points.
With the opening of stations in Dardilly and the Granier area in Savoie, Tesla has just reached a milestone in France with 800 Supercharger terminals. The American brand had installed the very first Supercharger near Auxerre, and it was in 2013. Since then, Tesla has announced that it has been on an average of one complete station per month in France, with the number of terminals varying: if the average is 10 per station, the largest in France, in Macon, has 20.
In Europe, the first Supercharger was installed in Norway, again in 2013. We now have nearly 6,000 terminals spread over 600 stations in 27 countries. Like Ionity, the greatest density is in Western Europe, even if on the Supercharger side, we feel a greater effort for Eastern countries.
Finally, if we compare the Supercharger network to that of Ionity, we realize that the latter, still under development, will be quite far from the network of American terminals since the consortium of manufacturers behind Ionity had planned 400 stations in the long term Europe, and this for all car brands, unlike Superchargers which, it should be remembered, are reserved for Tesla owners. For now, anyway.
