Initially announced at €119,000, the new "Plaid" version of the Tesla Model S finally goes up to €129,000. If the first customers are not concerned, the new ones will undergo this tariff change.
Unveiled last January, the restyling of the Tesla Model S caused a stir, especially for its "half" steering wheel. A particularity still present on the official images of the car on the French site, in which the configuration of this restyled Model S has changed. Elon Musk has confirmed the cancellation of a Plaid+, leaving the Plaid to oversee the range. But this one suddenly changes price.
Announced at the beginning of the year at €119,000, the Model S Plaid finally goes to €129,000. An increase that follows the tariff change in the United States, similar, but in dollars. List price swings are commonplace in the auto industry, but they're much more common at Tesla, and more importantly, than at most other manufacturers.
The new price obviously does not concern those who ordered as soon as the car arrived in the catalog. But for current customers who will opt for the Model S Plaid, there may be a little bitterness. Even if, it must be remembered, this Plaid is particularly well placed against the German competition (Audi RS e-tron GT, Porsche Taycan Turbo).
