The leak at Lexus shows the revival of the NX SUV, which will soon be unveiled. The hybrid is still on the program, but an unprecedented 450h rechargeable hybrid version cannot be ruled out.
We were talking to you in 2019 about a hypothetical arrival of a plug-in hybrid model in the NX range at Lexus. It may well be that the upcoming restyling of the compact SUV will include a new NX450h version with a lithium ion battery allowing you to travel several tens of kilometers in electric mode.
Aesthetically, this second generation of NX does not change much... on the outside. We find the taut lines and pronounced edges in a purer Lexus style, which also seems to be emulated by the competition.
In the cabin, the changes are much more pronounced. A huge touch screen takes place at the top of the dashboard and the instrumentation becomes digital. The steering wheel, the location of the center console and the design of the lines on the dashboard have also evolved. However, Lexus seems to have kept physical controls for certain air conditioning settings, even if these photos do not yet allow us to have a precise idea of the ergonomics.
Under the hood, the NX will again offer the four-cylinder hybrid, but a big surprise would be there: an NX450h+ version announced at the end of a video since removed by Lexus. It would in fact be the plug-in hybrid engine of the cousin, the Toyota RAV4.
