Definitely, between border closures, microprocessor supply defects and the vagaries of nature, the automotive sector has faced funny challenges in recent times.The latest is an earthquake in the north east of Japan which has resulted in the stop of many factories.
An earthquake that necessarily reminded bad memories to the Japanese, but fortunately, no tsunami this time.Nevertheless, the material damage has been numerous, and they forced Toyota to close 14 production lines in 9 factories in total in the end of February.
The big Lexus and Toyota SUVs for the American market are concerned, but that's not all: factories that produce C-HR, RAV4 or Prius are also affected.The judgment is only a week at most, it should therefore not generate major additional delivery times for Europe.
