Volkswagen's electric SUV will be available with 52 and 77 kWh batteries. The autonomy will vary from 348 to 522 km.
The ID.4 made its commercial debut with the special launch series "1st". Volkswagen is preparing to open orders for classic finishes, with different technical configurations. The electric SUV will thus leave the choice between two battery capacities.
Below the 77 kWh battery, which already equips the 1st, there will be for the access models a 52 kWh battery (net capacity). This will be associated with a 125 kW engine, or 170 hp. With this engine/battery duo, the WLTP range in the combined cycle will be a maximum of 348 km. The variants with the 77 kWh battery will have a 150 kW motor, or 204 hp. Autonomy will increase to 522 km.
For now, all variants have a single engine, at the rear. Volkswagen confirms the arrival during the year of a four-wheel drive version with two engines, a more muscular version which will inaugurate a new sports label for Volkswagen, GTX.
The prices of the classic finishes for the French market will be known in a few days. We hope for an entry ticket under €40,000, without taking the bonus into account.
